Students, today we’re celebrating our 67th day of school, and there are some sneaky 6s and 7s hiding in the hallways! Keep your eyes open as you walk to class—you never know where a number might be hiding.  If you find a 6 or a 7, ask your homeroom teacher for permission to bring your number to Mrs. Eells during Bomber Time today. She’ll trade it in for a special 67th Day Prize!  Have fun hunting!

We are also celebrating our 67th day of school in another very special way! We want to spread kindness all around our building by sharing 67 (or more!) compliments with our amazing Belle Valley students, teachers, and staff.  When you head to the cafeteria for lunch, stop and write a compliment on the big poster—it can be for a friend, a teacher, a classmate, or anyone who makes Belle Valley a great place to be. Let’s fill the poster with positivity and make someone’s day a little brighter!  Let’s celebrate 67 days of learning, growing, and lifting each other up!

In November we are practicing Gratitude: Be thankful for nature by taking care of the environment around you.

Get ready to jump, dance, or dramatically walk down the hallway—because we’ve got a meeting that deserves its own musical number! We will be holding a meeting for all students interested in participating in this year's musical.  7th & 8th graders will meet today during Bomber Time in the band room. Think of it like the big moment before the final performance: the whole team gathers, plans come together, and the excitement builds. We need your voice, your ideas, and your Wildcats spirit to make it amazing. So, break out your best East High energy and come join the fun— because just like the Wildcats say: “This is the start of something new!” See you there, superstars!

Good luck to Mariah H!.  She will be representing Belle Valley this weekend at the Illinois Music Educators Association Junior High Band festival.  Belle Valley is proud of you!

The 8th grade girls’ basketball team had an impressive win over Grant last night, 52-9. Savannah B, Jazaiah G, and Payton H. led the team in points. Come out on Monday night to see them play EMGE here at BV!

Happy birthday weekend, Gavin V!

Thursday, November 20, 2025
“It’s the 67th Day of School countdown! Help us celebrate by donating non-perishable food items this week. Let’s fill those boxes with kindness—canned veggies, cereal, juice, anything you can give. Together, BV can make a real difference!”

In November we are practicing Gratitude: Reflect on a challenge that helped you grow and be thankful for it.

It’s time to turn the hallway into a High School Musical moment, because we’ve got an important meeting—and the whole crew is invited! We will be holding a meeting for all students interested in participating in this year's musical.  5th & 6th graders will meet today during Bomber Time in the band room and all 7th & 8th graders on Friday during Bomber Time in the band room. Just like the East High gang gearing up for the big show, we need everyone to come together, bring their best ideas, and help make some real Wildcats magic happen. No need to sing (unless you want to!)—just show up ready to shine.  So, grab your friends, strike a pose, and remember: “We’re all in this together!”  See you on the big stage!

Happy birthday to Carson T.

“Hey students! Want to make a BIG impact with a small act of kindness? Join our 67th Day Food Drive! We’re collecting canned goods, pasta, peanut butter, and more. Drop them off in the boxes by the principal’s offices. Let’s beat our goal of 67 items!”

In November we are practicing Gratitude: Show appreciation by taking care of school supplies and spaces.

The 7th grade boys’ basketball team suffered a tough loss last night in a nail biter against WJH 36-34. The game was back and forth from the opening tip. Neither side had a lead larger than 5 pts the entire night. Kellin E. and Trent A. led the way in scoring with 10 and 9 respectively, while Dominick S. and Nigel B. pitched in with 5 pts each. All in all, it was a hard fought game with some positives to take and build on as the season moves forward.

It’s Time to Shine!  A show-stopping meeting is coming your way, and we want the whole cast there! We will be holding a meeting for all students interested in participating in this year's musical.  5th & 6th graders will meet tomorrow during Bomber Time in the band room and all 7th & 8th graders on Friday during Bomber Time in the band room. Channel your inner Troy, Gabriella, Sharpay—or whoever brings out your boldest, brightest self—because we’ve got plans to share, ideas to spark, and some seriously fun vibes to bring. So warm up those jazz hands, straighten that Wildcats spirit wear, and get ready to “Stick to the Status Quo”… except today, we’re switching it up! See you at the meeting, stars!

The 5th grade girls’ basketball team won last night vs. Union by the score of 22-8. This improves their record to 8-0 on the season.  In November we are practicing Gratitude: Recognize your family for the things they do every day.

Lights, Camera… Meeting!  The stage is set, the spotlight’s on, and we're calling YOU to center stage for an epic meeting you’ll want front-row seats to! We will be holding a meeting for all students interested in participating in this year's musical.  5th & 6th graders will meet on Thursday during Bomber Time in the band room and all 7th & 8th graders on Friday during Bomber Time in the band room. Just like the East High crew, it’s time to break into formation and come together for some big news, fresh plans, and maybe even a little fun along the way. No scripts needed—just bring your voice, your ideas, and your star power.  So, grab your friends, strike your best Troy–Gabriella confidence pose, and get ready to “Bop to the Top” of this week with us!  See you under the spotlight, Wildcats!

Does anyone know how many days we’ve been at school so far? 60…? Maybe 70 days? Well, it’s technically 63 days, but in honor of our 67th day of school this coming Friday, we want to continue to show our gratitude by giving back to our community. BV is hosting a 67th Day Food Drive! Posted around school are flyers explaining the details so be sure to check out the flyers and bring in some canned goods!

Just like in High School Musical, we’re all in this together—so bring your energy, your ideas, and your school spirit! Whether you’re ready to shine like Troy and Gabriella or cheer like the whole squad, this is your moment to step into the spotlight.  So warm up those vocal cords, grab your friends, and break free from your usual routine. See you there, stars!

Spirit days are also hat days! Bring in a $1 and give it to your homeroom teacher if you’d like to wear your favorite hat. Remember, ski masks and hoods do not count. The school store will also be open in the morning, so make sure to bring in some money so you can buy yourself a tasty treat. Goooo Bombers!
