Her story was featured in the movie Hidden Figures and encourages us to aim high and never underestimate our abilities.

Both boys A and B team won against Shiloh last night. “A” team came out strong, winning the first set. However, Shiloh boys made them work for the second set, but the team stayed focused and finished strong to earn the win.
The B team battled it out and secured the win in three hard-fought sets. They never gave up and played with heart. Majeure led the team on serves. Great job Boys!

Happy Community Day, Bombers!

February’s AIM word is Honesty. Honesty means telling the truth, taking responsibility for your actions, and being trustworthy — even when it’s hard. When we are honest with ourselves and others, we build stronger friendships, safer classrooms, and a more respectful school community. Let’s make February a month of truth, trust, and integrity!

6th grade are the winners of this month’s community day donut giveaway! 6th grade once again had the lowest number of discipline referrals in the month of January. Other grades, can you give them some competition?

Today is also Groundhog Day! Keep an eye out for any furry weather forecasters. If the groundhog sees his shadow, we’re in for six more weeks of winter. If not, spring is on the way! Shadow or no shadow though… we still have school, so let’s make it a great day!

Attention ALL STUDENTS! There will be a BV SOCIAL NIGHT event coming up this month on Friday, February 20th! Teachers, please see the email from Mrs. Cole detailing all the information regarding this new event that we are really excited about.  Tickets will go on sale this Wednesday the 4th and go through February 18th.

February is Black History Month!
To celebrate, we are hosting a daily trivia game for staff.
Each day during announcements, a song by a Black artist will be played.
The first staff member to email Mrs. Sintzel with the correct song title and artist will win a prize for that day.
We hope you will listen, participate, and enjoy the music! Listen for the song at the end of the announcements

In addition to our song trivia, we will also be sharing some interesting facts to help us learn more about this special month. Today's fact is: Black History Month began as “Negro History Week” in 1926, created by historian Carter G. Woodson. He believed Black history was an important part of American history that wasn’t being taught in schools. In 1976, it was expanded to a full month. His work reminds us that learning history helps us understand and respect one another.

Happy birthday to Nyia W!

Welcome back and Happy Community Day, Bombers!

A new year means a fresh start and new opportunities to learn and grow together. Our AIM words for January are Kindness and Inclusion. Kindness means choosing to be caring, helpful, and respectful toward others. Inclusion means making sure everyone feels welcome and valued — in the classroom, at lunch, and around the building. Let’s start the year strong by spreading kindness and including others in everything we do!
