Emerson Excellence in Teaching Award
Belle Valley School would like to congratulate Mrs. Erin Jbour for earning the Emerson Excellence in Teaching Award. Mrs. Jbour goes above and beyond her role as a teacher in the classroom. She is actively involved in extra curricular activities by supporting the students and cheering them on while they participate, or sponsoring a team of her own. Mrs. Jbour is on the PBIS team and leads her colleagues and students in various activities; especially the reboot camp. Reboot is a quarterly process that she takes very serious and works hard to assist students in making good choices at school and in their daily life. She mentors many students during the school year and shows them how much she cares for them and their well-being. Mrs. Jbour is not only a student mentor, but mentors colleagues as well. She is a lead special education teacher and has taken on several leadership roles within the district over the past 12 years. She works countless hours to meet the needs of her full case load of middle school students and the many committees in which she has served. She is creative when planning her lessons and works hard to keep her students engaged. Mrs. Jbour designs lessons that encourage students to explore and learn through application. She challenges herself and sets high expectations for herself and her students. Mrs. Jbour is an excellent educator and an asset to Belle Valley. She is more than deserving of this award.
