Attention 7th and 8th graders - Tonight is the spring dance “Hawaii Nights”. It is from 7PM to 9PM and admission is $5. Get those fees paid so you don’t miss this luau.

Happy Earth Week!!! We hope everyone has had a chance to celebrate Earth Week in someway over the last four days. If you haven’t, it’s NOT too late! The weather is perfect for the Nature Walk today, you can still complete the Carbon Footprint Survey, and work on finishing and turning in your Earth Day Poster which are due Monday! Tonight after school is the Campus Clean-up. If you turned in your permission slip, report to the cafeteria after school today. This weekend the City of Belleville and St. Louis have a lot of opportunities to get outside and celebrate the Earth! “There is no job too big, there is no action too small, the care of the Earth is a task for us all!”

Attention 7th and 8th graders - Tomorrow night is the spring dance “Hawaii Nights”. It is from 7PM to 9PM and admission is $5. Make sure you have your fees paid because you will not want to miss this luau.

Today is big day for our track and field team as they are headed to Belleville West to compete in the conference relay meet. If you see a track athlete today wish them luck! Teachers please excuse athletes at 11:30 so they have time to change and eat before the bus leaves at noon. All track and field athletes should change and report to the foyer by the office for attendance. We will eat after we take attendance so change and get ready quickly!

Mrs. Jbour’s girls’ group will meet today in her classroom at 1:15.

Happy Earth Week!!! Did you know 1 million Earths could fit inside the Sun. The Sun contains 99.86% of the mass of the Solar System. The temperature inside the Sun can reach 15 million degrees Celsius. The Sun is the most important star to the Earth, but it isn’t the only star in the sky. Trillions of stars surround our planet and only 4 - 10 thousand can be seen at night. We hope everyone has had a chance to get involved in some Earth Week activities. Don’t forget, tonight is the STAR PARTY from 8 - 9 pm! Also, tomorrow after school is the Campus Clean-up and posters for the Earth Day Contest are due on Monday, April 23rd! “There is no job too big, there is no action too small, the care of the Earth is a task for us all!”

In that 254 million tons of trash, 22 billion plastic bottles can be found. If we took all of the office and school paper from a years’ worth of America's trash, we could build a 12 foot wall from Los Angeles, California to New York, New Work.
